Pracownia Zmiany played an important role in the recent local elections. Between March and April 2024, we encouraged the residents of Warsaw to take part in the upcoming elections through a special campaign promoting voter participation.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Our goal was to reach as many people as possible, especially young voters, whose voices are crucial for the city\u2019s future. The campaign ran on social media and in Warsaw\u2019s public transport.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We invited popular young actors \u2013 Micha\u0142 Sikorski, known from the series “1670″<\/em> and the Polish Theatre in Pozna\u0144, and Eliza Rycembel, known from award-winning productions like Bo\u017ce Cia\u0142o<\/em> and \u015alepn\u0105c od \u015bwiate\u0142<\/em>. Do wsp\u00f3\u0142pracy zaprosili\u015bmy popularnych m\u0142odych aktor\u00f3w \u2013 Micha\u0142a Sikorskiego, znanego m.in. z filmu \u201e1670\u201d oraz spektakli Teatru Polskiego w Poznaniu i Eliz\u0119 Rycembel, kt\u00f3r\u0105 widzowie mog\u0105 kojarzy\u0107 z nagradzanych produkcji takich jak \u201e\u201d i \u201e\u015alepn\u0105c od \u015bwiate\u0142\u201d. They starred in four videos showing everyday challenges for young people in Warsaw \u2013 from public transport and housing to recreational spaces. They shared real stories that many young people could relate to, highlighting the importance of civic engagement and voting.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

7 million views \u2013 a huge reach<\/h2>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Our videos reached over 7 million views, showing how much interest there is in initiatives that inform people about their civic rights and responsibilities. The campaign was well received by young residents, who saw it as a way to actively shape their city.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The campaign also got media attention. Micha\u0142 Sikorski and Eliza Rycembel appeared in a special interview on TVN24 to talk about their motivations for engaging in public life. Experts from wirtualnemedia.pl praised the campaign for its modern approach and for reaching the younger generation.

Accessible for everyone \u2013 voting instructions in two languages<\/h2>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

On the campaign websites \u2013 glosujwwarszawie.pl<\/u><\/a> and voteinwarsaw.eu<\/u><\/a> \u2013 we posted detailed instructions on how to register to vote. Materials were available as text and videos, making it easy for anyone to find the information they needed. The Polish guide was narrated by Filip Kosior, whose clear and friendly voice helped make the campaign more understandable.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Voting for foreigners<\/h2>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The campaign also considered the needs of foreign residents in Warsaw who live, work, or study in the city. Three young foreigners appeared in the English version of the videos, sharing their experiences and motivations. We also reminded that EU citizens can vote in local elections where they live, though many are not aware of this right.
